A Look Back

It’s difficult to find time to go back and look at other students’ blog posts and get an idea of what they’ve been writing about. This semester, I’ve been mainly focused on my own posts. The other day in class, Beth encouraged the class to look 3 pages back on the Critical Writers Blog to see what we have missed. In doing this, I got to see what my peers were writing about and how they connected it to the risks and rewards of an academic partnership.

This activity reminded us of our ability to always go back and bounce off ideas from others and take them into consideration in our own writing. This reward of academic partnership strengthens our writing by allowing us to expand our thoughts. Seeing someone else’s blog post could potentially generate a new one for another person and so on. Personally, when not knowing what to write a blog post about, I have looked back at others and been inspired.

Although many of us in the class have friends that we talk to about blog posts and what they’re writing about, we never really see other views. Reading these older blog posts can give us a new look at something we did in class that you could have missed or didn’t understand fully. Also, the Critical Writers Blog page gives us the ability to cite other classmates blog posts and talk about them in our own. I think being able to look back and read our peers posts is such a beneficial part of INTD.
